Welcome to this 124th issue of my newsletter. About 27 months of past issues are available at this web site. Just click on the "Newsletter Archive" link on the left of the screen. The articles tend to be "timeless," so read or reread some of them at your leisure.

We're Settled In -- Finally!

Moving is a lot more complex than it used to be! It's certainly not like it was when I was in the Air Force. Starting on October 3rd, Terry and I drove two trucks from North Carolina to California. We each had a car behind our 24' truck. Uneventful trip? Well, almost. We ran into spots on I-40 where the trucks were acting like "bucking broncos." Literally, the front end seemed to jump 4 feet off the ground, regardless of speed. I won't mention the states, but they started with "A" and "O." Miraculously, we had very little breakage. In Amarillo, Texas, we hit a "gully washer." It poured for 4 hours, including the time we were moving into a motel for the night. Soaked and covered with mud, we and the two cats finally got moved in. It literally took six trips to the trucks to get all the "stuff" we (Terry, our pregnant 20-year old daughter, the cats and me) "had to have" for that night! At the California border, Terry charmed the border guards into letting her bring in the 30 or so plants she "had to bring along" -- the ones she couldn't part with.

Getting moved into a new house and getting all the glitches taken care of -- water, electricity, telephone, high speed internet, TV, garbage, garden, new furniture, clickers to get in the security gates, etc., etc. -- seemed to be endless. My wife, Terry, is blessed with a talent for organization that few people have. Without her, I'd be floundering still.

The good news? We love the house and the location. We live right across the street from a large lake (exactly one mile around) which we walk around twice every day. I play golf with a great group of "old codgers" who like to have fun and don't care about how many strokes it takes. We had a "housewarming" last weekend with 20 family members and 5 neighbors that was loads of fun. Our house in North Carolina has sold to someone who fell in love with it. I think we've even found a great "holistic physician" which is far from easy in California.

I'm back to doing regular radio shows and newsletters for you. Those of you who have been listening to "the best of" "How to Live Cancer-Free" (some "reruns" of my show on during October will probably want to listen to the two "live" shows for the last two weeks. This week (November 17th through November 23rd), I did an interview with cancer survivor Connie Davidson. She is one of the best informed cancer patients I've ever talked to. Don't miss last week's interview with Marcia Robinson whose recovery is truly miraculous. Both are available now at the web site above. Click on "Show Hosts" and scroll down to the link to my show. Once there, you can click "Listen Now" for this week's show or "Podcast" for any of the last 10 weekly shows.

By the way, if you'd like to read the article I used for the discussion of the "10 Myths About Breast Cancer" on the radio show last week, here is the link:

Root Canal Teeth and Liposomal Vitamin C

What do these two subjects have in common? Well, the gentleman who you can watch and listen to at the link below is an expert in both subjects. In fact, he has written several books about them. He is Dr. Thomas Levy. Some of you may remember hearing the interview I did with Dr. Levy last year. What prompted me to contact him for that interview was hearing this presentation at last year's (2007) Cancer Control Society Convention in Los Angeles. If there ever was a person you should listen to about both these subjects, it's Dr. Levy. He does not get fiery and emotional. He simply tells you the facts which you must know to get healthy and stay healthy.

Dr. Levy is both an M.D. and an attorney. He got the law degree when he realized he needed it to protect some of his medical "brothers" from harassment by the FDA/AMA cabal. And he has done so... Please listen to all four segments of this video of his talk last year. There is crucial information toward the end. Note that it is on a British version of the YouTube web site. I doubt that it would have survived this long on the American YouTube. Anyway, while it is still up, do not miss this opportunity to hear a true expert tell you about root canal teeth and Vitamin C.

My wife and I have tried the "Liposomal Vitamin C" from and really noticed the improvement in our energy and well-being. Get some and try it. You'll be amazed! One packet is equal to about 10 grams of intravenous Vitamin C.

To watch this set of videos, just click here. Every doctor and dentist in the world should be required to watch this set of videos. They would learn a vital lesson about health.

Thanks to Ron Strauss for making me aware of the best web site I've seen for gobs of information on root canal teeth and cavitations. It is that of Australian dentist Robert Gammal. Whether or not you have any root canal-filled teeth, you should check out this web site. Believe me, someone you know has a degenerative condition (cancer is only one of many) that is caused by root canal teeth and/or cavitations. They may never put the two together unless you inform them of this common connection. Take a look at For those who are hard to convince, there are DVD's, books and "pdf" files at this web site that will convince the toughest skeptic. Be sure to see the page on "Questions To Ask Your Dentist" under the "Root Canal Therapy" link. Great web site. Again, it probably would not last long in the U.S.

One of the toughest things about getting your root canal-filled teeth removed is finding a true biological dentist to help you. Beware. There are lots of dentists who claim to be "biological dentists" who still do root canal fillings. Give them a wide berth. Here is the best online directory I know of for finding a true biological dentist. Just go to:

The organization is the International Academy of Biological Dentistry and Medicine (IABDM). Just click on the "Find a Practitioner" link at the above page.

Don't trust any referral, even one from this page, without interviewing their office. The first question I would ask is "Does your office do root canal fillings?" If the answer is "Yes," just hang up and go on to the next one. If you get a satisfactory answer to the first question, I would ask "How does your office determine the degree of inflammation in the root canal-filled tooth?" You may not understand all the technical jargon you get in the answer, but it will give you an idea of the professional caliber of the office.

Get them out, folks. They're deadly...And don't forget to ask the dentist to look for "cavitations." These are holes left in your jaw from previous extractions. They can be just as deadly as a root canal-filled tooth.

Third Edition of "Cancer-Free" Is Out

Those of you who have been waiting for publication of the Third Edition of my book "Cancer- Free," it's here. You can now get it at my web site I've updated it with a lot of information that has been in this newsletter in the past two years, added an Index and rewritten the Booklet #1 "Stop Your Aging With Diet." It is available in either e-book or paperback format. If you go to the publisher's web site (click on the paperback version at this page), you'll see that they have put together a "package" for you of the e-book (immediate download) and the paperback at a very attractive price. You can begin reading it tonight and still have the paperback copy for easy reference for just a few more dollars.

Vitamin D Prevents Most Cancers

Thank you, Duke Stone, for forwarding a news release to me on Vitamin D. I had read of several new studies on this subject, but this is the most factual and well-documented article I've seen. Unfortunately, I can't publish everything including the references, but rest assured that each of the numbers in parentheses refer to studies confirming this subject. Here's an excerpt from the news release:

Orthomolecular Medicine News Service, October 2, 2008

Vitamin D Stops Cancer; Cuts Risk In Half
American Cancer Society Drags its Feet

(OMNS, October 2, 2008) A new study of 3,299 persons has shown that those with higher levels of vitamin D cut their risk of dying from cancer in half. (1) Another recent study shows that ample intake of vitamin D, about 2,000 IU per day, can cut breast cancer incidence by half. (2) Still more research found that inadequate Vitamin D is 'associated with high incidence rates of colorectal cancer' and specifically urges that 'prompt public health action is needed to increase intake of Vitamin D-3 to 1000 IU/day.' (3)

Vitamin D's anticancer properties are so evident, and so important, that the Canadian Cancer Society now recommends supplementation with 1,000 IU of Vitamin D per day for all adults in winter, and year-round for persons at risk. (4)

The American Cancer Society, however, is dragging its feet, still maintaining that 'More research is needed to define the best levels of intake and blood levels of vitamin D for cancer risk reduction.'(5)

What is taking them so long?

Researchers in 2006 noted that 'The evidence suggests that efforts to improve vitamin D status, for example by vitamin D supplementation, could reduce cancer incidence and mortality at low cost, with few or no adverse effects.' (6)

If you search the US National Institutes of Health's Medline online database for 'cancer vitamin D,' you will find over five thousand papers. . . some dating back nearly 60 years.

It's true: physician reports on vitamin D stopping cancer have been ignored for decades. In 1951, T. Desmonts reported that vitamin D treatment was effective against Hodgkin's disease (a cancer of the lymphatic system). (7) That same year, 57 years ago, massive doses of vitamin D were also observed to improve epithelioma. (8) In 1955, skin cancer was again reported as cured with vitamin D treatment. (9) In 1963, there was a promising investigation done on vitamin D and breast cancer. (10) Then, in 1964, vitamin D was found to be effective against lymph nodal reticulosarcoma, a non-Hodgkin's lymphatic cancer. (11)

The American Cancer Society has been obsessed with finding a drug cure for cancer. Pharmaceutical researchers are not looking for a vitamin cure. And when one is presented, as independent investigators and physicians have continuously been doing since 1951, it is ignored.

No longer. Michael Holick, MD, Boston University Professor of Medicine, has come right out and said it: 'We can reduce cancer risk by 30 to 50% by increasing vitamin D. We gave mice colon cancer, and followed them for 20 days. Tumor growth was markedly reduced simply by having vitamin D in the diet. There was a 40% reduction in tumor size. And, casual sun exposure actually decreases your risk of melanoma. Everyone needs 1,000 IU of vitamin D3 each day.' (12)

What about safety? Yes, it is possible to get too much vitamin D, but it is not easy. 'One man took one million IU of vitamin D per day, orally, for six months,' says Dr Holick. 'Of course, he had the symptoms of severe vitamin D intoxication. His treatment was hydration (lots of water), and no more vitamin D or sunshine for a while. He's perfectly happy and healthy. This was published in the New England Journal of Medicine.(13) I have no experience of anyone dying from vitamin exposure. In thirty years, I've never seen it.'"

Well, folks, I hope you don't need more information to get started taking at least 6,000 I.U per day of Vitamin D3. You don't have cancer? It is even more important for you to take it for prevention. I do...every day. We get ours from Their small pills are each 2,000 I.U. of Vitamin D3. I take 3 per day. I know of no better source for D3 in this concentrated amount. When you buy one bottle of 100 pills for $11.39, you get another bottle free. Buy 2 and get 3 more free. That works out to less than 5 cents per pill. If you find a better source, please let me know.

Incidentally, this is one item I would add to the regimen in Chapter 5 of my book. I tried very hard to keep that regimen simple and inexpensive. However, this is one addition I would make if I were you. It is easy and inexpensive. By the way, Puritan's Pride ships all over the world.

Thanks to Jim Bernard for a "heads up" on how best to treat your wrinkles. [Got your attention, ladies?] Here's a copy of Jim's e-mail to me.

I know you have to check out a lot of products but could I suggest you experiment a little with coconut oil. Available from health food stores as well as online.

I am a recent convert and I think it is very good.

Rub some on your face each day and I bet, after a week you will be missing quite a few wrinkles. Not that we rugged outdoor types care about such things, but there are women who, because they don't know any better, use fairly useless face creams. If you can suggest what it might have done for you - that is helpful to them.

It is a soft or powerful medicinal oil, depending on how much you use each day.

It is a strong anti-candida and anti-cancer oil as well

It may be the best cooking oil of all. It never goes rancid, and one other interesting facet of it is that at room temperature it remains solid, but turns into a liquid if you put a spoonful onto a warm plate [or rub it on your face].

Truly, it is worth climbing trees for..ha ha.

Thanks, Jim. My wife and I have been trying it for about a month now -- morning and evening. My face still looks about as weather-beaten as it always has. My wife's, however, has noticeably fewer wrinkles. She has abandoned her plans for Botox and her other face creams for this great and inexpensive wrinkle cream. I suggest you give it a try, folks.
