WINDOWS USERS

If you already have the free Acrobat Reader installed, just right-click on this link. In the menu select "Save Target As..." [Internet Explorer] or "Save Link Target As..." [Netscape] to save it to your hard drive. You will want to save it to your "Desktop" and name it "Cancer-Free - Third Edition."

MAC USERS

Just click this link and download and save as normal.

FIRST TIME DOWNLOADING A "PDF" FILE?

[If you don't have Adobe's Acrobat Reader or you are unfamiliar with the downloading process, please carefully follow the instructions below to download the e-book "Cancer-Free."]

To read this e-book, you will also need to download the latest version of Adobe's Free Acrobat Reader [STEP 2 below].

[STEP 1]

If you are using Internet Explorer, RIGHT click the download link http://www.beating-cancer-gently.com/support-files/cf3.pdf. A menu will appear. Select "Save Target As..." from the menu. A new window will appear. Enter "Cancer-Free (Third Edition)" [without the quotes] in the File Name box. DON'T PRESS "ENTER" YET. Then, at the top of the window, click on the arrow next to the box beside "Save In:" and select "Desktop" as the destination.

Then click on the "Save" button near the bottom. The download will begin. When the download is complete, the icon Cancer-Free (Third Edition) will appear on your Desktop. (But don't go look at it now. You have another step to do. Go to Step 2 below.)

If you are using Netscape, RIGHT click the download link http://www.beating-cancer-gently.com/support-files/cf3.pdf. A menu will appear. Select "Save Target Link As..." from the menu. A new window will appear. Enter "Cancer-Free (Third Edition)" [without the quotes] in the File Name box. DON'T PRESS "ENTER" YET. At the top of the window, click on the arrow next to the box beside "Save In:" and select "Desktop" as the destination.

Then click on the "Save" button near the bottom. The download will begin. When the download is complete, the icon Cancer-Free (Third Edition) will appear on your Desktop. (But don't go look at it now. You have another step to do. Go to Step 2 below).

[STEP 2]

To read the e-book, you will need the free Adobe Acrobat Reader. If you click on the Adobe web site link below, it will take you to Adobe's web site for download of their Acrobat Reader, Version 9. It is free. Just click on "Download Now" and follow the directions.

When the "Save In:" window appears, use your skills as an expert down-loader and save this file to your Desktop, as described above. Once the install process for the Acrobat Reader is complete, you may have to "reboot" your computer to complete the Acrobat installation. Go ahead and do that. When your Desktop comes up again, just LEFT click on the Cancer-Free (Third Edition) icon and my book will open on your computer screen.

You can then scroll down and read it; or print all or part of it out on your computer printer.

Don't overlook the feature that adjusts the magnification on your computer screen. It is the little "%" sign in the lower left of the screen when my book is on your screen. For other Acrobat Reader features, see their online Help screens.
