Welcome to this 116th issue of my newsletter. About 24 months of past
issues are available at this web site. Just click on the "Newsletter
Archive" link on the left of the screen. The articles tend to be
"timeless," so read or reread some of them at your leisure.
I've decided to relax my newsletter "schedule" this year. I'm going to
send you one of these each month -- with maybe interesting announcements
sprinkled between. With my new web talk radio show, local and remote
speaking engagements and just the essence of being (bridge, golf, travel,
time with my spouse, etc.), I find I need to cut back a bit.

Dr. Hamer's "New German Medicine"

OK, I"m going to do it. I've been thinking about and collecting
information on this subject for months. I still have mixed emotions
about it. But it seems so pertinent and important to those of us who
believe in "thinking outside the box" that I just have to pass on what
I know. I sincerely hope you will explore it and tell me what you think.
Dr. Ryke Geerd Hamer is a medical pioneer in the truest sense. He has
suffered through many years of persecution for his ideas. His most recent jail
term was in France and ended in 2006. What was the charge? Well, 2 or 3
cancer patients in France supposedly tried his theories and died. He had
no knowledge of or contact with them. Nevertheless, their relatives brought
suit. He was convicted by a French court and sentenced to nine months in jail.
He was living in Madrid at the time and had no knowledge of the trial or the
conviction until it appeared in the local paper in Madrid.
The prosecutors discovered after the verdict that EU Directives allowed extradition
only for sentences of over one year. They went back to the French judge and got
the sentence increased to three years. Dr. Hamer was forcibly brought to France
and served about 16 months of the sentence in horrible French jails.
I wanted you to know this story before you read about Dr. Hamer. It is only
the most recent of his jail terms. You see, the medical establishment in Europe
is, if possible, even more punishing to advocates of new medical ideas than ours
here in the U.S. This has not dissuaded this 70-year old man from continuing to
save cancer patients with a 90% success rate (verified by the courts).

Rather than try to tell you the whole story of Dr. Hamer's "New German Medicine,"
I'm going to give you two websites which have all the information you need to
explore it. If you're interested, you can read about it at no cost.
Then, if you're interested in exploring the treatment for your cancer, the second
website has this service available in Reno, Nevada. You can order a DVD from them
of a two-hour seminar on this "New Medicine" presented by Dr. David Holt.
In my opinion, it is a subject that everyone should be familiar with. To start

Follow their suggestions to read the "Introduction," "Overview," and then the
"Interview." The latter is an interview with Dr. Hamer where he describes his
experience with his theories about cancer and other "diseases."
The second website I learned about when Dr. David Holt, one of the doctors at
the Reno Integrative Medical Center, sent me the DVD I mentioned above. It covers his experience with the "New German Medicine." I will quote from
the clinic's website to give you an idea of his opinions:
"In the Spring of 2006 we set out to prove that Dr. Hamer’s assertions regarding
cancer (and most other disease) were incorrect. After having received some initial
training and applying these concepts to our patients for several months we were
confronted with an abundant amount of empirical evidence supporting Hamer’s ideas.
Our most basic assumptions regarding cancer had been incorrect! This paradigm turns
conventional medicine and even much of alternative medicine on its head, but once an
understanding of the process is grasped, it points the way in terms of choosing various
diagnostic or therapeutic interventions."
I hope that gets your attention. Dr. Holt works at the clinic started in 1980 by
Dr. Douglas Brodie. Dr. Brodie was one of the greatest holistic cancer healers I
am aware of. I admired him greatly without ever really knowing him, just from his
reputation. Unfortunately, he passed away in 2005. However, the clinic he started
in Reno, Nevada carries on his work in a manner which I'm sure makes him proud.

Among other things, you will find there both an 8-page and a 23-page pdf file. They
describe what the clinic calls the "German New Medicine" in less or more detail --
your choice. If you call the clinic, ask about Dr. Holt's DVD called "Introduction
to 'German New Medicine.'" You can reach them at (775) 829-1009. Their office hours
are 9-5 Monday through Thursday and 9-1 on Friday (Pacific Time).
Look into this, folks. It is fascinating and possibly revolutionary. I'm going to

Acute Myeloid Leukemia, Chronic Myeloid Leukemia, and Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia
Can be CURED by a Combination of Natural Medicines
This essay is reposted from our subscription Natural Medicine blog in the public
interest.
When I was a graduate student at Berkeley in the 1980's, I attended an International
Hematology Conference in San Francisco. I overheard a conversation between one of
America's prominent hematologists and some of his colleagues.
'What would you do if you were diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia?' they asked.
'I would commit suicide,' he quickly responded.
Acute and chronic myeloid leukemia (AML and CML) are largely incurable diseases. The
drug Gleevec has showed some promise in the treatment of CML, but it does not CURE
the disease. Eventually, people taking Gleevec become resistant to the drug. When this
occurs, they become susceptible to a 'blast crisis' which invariably ends their life
within months of diagnosis.
One of my friends died a horrible death from AML. He bled to death in front of his
entire family.
In 2005 a paper was published showing that the plant hormone parthenolide induced
apoptosis in AML stem and progenitor cells. This cell death was mediated by a reduction
in NF-kappaB, and an increase in p53 activity. In some medical circles, parthenolide
is now considered a stand alone CURE for CML.
Unfortunately, parthenolide is not soluble in water thereby severely limiting its
bioavailability in the body.
In December, 2007, an orally available form of parthenolide was developed by the
authors of the first study. In tissue culture and dog studies, this orally available
form of parthenolide killed AML stem and progenitor cells and blast cells from both CML
and acute lymphocytic leukemia. Normal stem cells were not harmed.
Parthenolide is active at very low concentrations (5 microM). Although this compound
is not soluble in water, it can be introduced topically into the body via a DMSO gel.
We will discuss this protocol in future essays.
Methyl jasmonate can induce the differentiation of AML and other leukemic cells into
normal cells. This has nothing to do with killing stem or progenitor cells. This form
of re-differentiation is well established in the lab, but the toxicity of the chemicals
prevents their use clinically. MJ is active in the re-differentiation process at VERY
LOW concentrations, 0.4 mM.
The p53 tumor suppressor plays a critical role in the death of leukemic stem and
progenitor cells. As cited in previous essays, p53 protein concentrations can be
increased by flax lignans.
Three natural medicines, and possibly more, can kill leukemic stem and progenitor
cells and induce the re-differentiation of leukemic cells into their normal counterpart.
NO synthetic drug or drugs can accomplish these clinical objectives."

"Dear Bill,
I read in your newsletter about the AMAS test for cancer. I ordered the kit online
and just got the results back today - NORMAL. I believe it is because I took the
advice from your book, 'Cancer Free' and changed my diet, took the supplements to
boost my immune system and am getting out in the sunshine.
I refused the chemo and radiation the doctor recommended after having a lumpectomy
for breast cancer. I really wish I had refused the surgery - I think I would have
done better without it, but my whole family was pressuring me and I caved in. (Having
a doctor for a husband didn't help in this situation.) He hasn't been very supportive
and still says, 'It doesn't matter what you eat.'
I am sticking to my healthy diet and am going to continue with the supplements. I'm
still spreading the word about your book and your website and newsletter whenever I
get the chance.

ALKALIZE YOUR HOME'S AIR WITH BAKING SODA
Duke Stone sent me this e-mail on another use of the incredibly useful baking soda:
"Now that it is colder we use a pot of hot water on the stove to keep the house air
from being too dry ---- Well two weeks ago I decided to put baking soda in the water
and get the ph up to about a 10. It is normally about 6. Guess what? The dryness and
the junk that was constantly coating my nostrils is gone and my saliva has been staying
alkaline.
This week I put the baking soda in a little breathing device and got that alkaline
vapor going into my lungs and I feel a lot better. I have been arguing with candida
for a long time. I sure hope this will have an effect on it also.
