Our "adventure" in mercury

Hi Mr. Bill,
Thank you for a great newsletter! I enjoy reading it when I get a chance (chances are hard to find with 6 wonderful children keeping me busy. Yes, all are ours!)
I was excited to read your August newsletter because you mention the Munro-Halls in England. I also "stumbled" across their website as I was searching for how to deal with my root-canal. They were so kind as to mail me 2 insightful little booklets - ask them to send you some, they are really useful and informative booklets.
Maybe I should back up a little. My name is Emily, I am from Louisiana. My husband Franz is from Germany. At present we are living in Germany. God has blessed us with 6 beautiful children.
Our second son, Lian, started 1st grade last year. His teacher became very concerned about him and urged us to "get him checked." Checked? For what? we wondered. She kinda thought he had "ADHD." I was also concerned about his behavior at home - he was displaying some, well, almost autistic style behavior! But why? He hadn't had any shots in a long time...what was going on?
For the sake of time I am going to leave some gaps in our long story and try to just give you the short version. I understand that your newsletter mainly deals with cancer and adults but thought that this might be of interest to you since you said that dental toxicity and its relation to cancer is your favorite subject.
In the Munro-Hall's booklets I read that during pregnancy the placenta does not block mercury. Have you heard that before? That was new to me. I was stunned - oh my poor babies! All 6 of them have been exposed to mercury via my dental fillings both during 9 months of pregnancy and afterwards during the 10 or so months of breast feeding?!?
I immediately thought of Lian - maybe this is what is going on! Maybe this "ADHD" stuff is because of mercury exposure? The next logical step seemed to us to be to take him for chemical sensitivity testing. His teacher probably thought we were mad.
We found a biological dentist here in Germany since we could not go visit the Munro-Halls in England. He (Dr. Lammers is his name) did a saliva test on Lian. This is supposed to be the most accurate way to test for mercury exposure. It tested 2 genes - in the brain and in the liver.
The results came back. Lian is a "non-detoxifier." Meaning that the toxins are stored in his brain and throughout his body in the tissues.
Dr Lammers recommended two supplements, Thuja (herb) and a DHA supplement. We asked for his advice concerning Lian's 1st grade teacher. He recommended that we not do the psychological testing for ADHD but instead give Lian chlorella vulgaris and GSH, he said to give it about 6 months.
It has been about that long and we are very pleased with what we see! No more autistic behavior! Still some ADHD symptoms but those are gradually clearing up, too! Thank God! We have also added some other supplements to his diet that we learned about in "Healing the New Childhood Epidemics (Autism, ADHD, Asthma and Allergies) by Kenneth Bock, M.D. and Cameron Stauth. Great book, very helpful!
I hope this snapshot of our experience will be of interest and maybe even helpful to you and your readers.
Take care, Emily Penner
