Hi, folks. It’s Bill Henderson again. Yes, I’m finally caught
up with other work on my book and web site and able to communicate
with you, my favorite activity (next to golf and singing).
There have been some changes made. The first thing you’ll
notice is that the appearance of this newsletter has
changed. Partly to emphasize a new start and partly
because my new web site template requires it, I’ve adopted
“HTML” as the new format for the newsletter instead of
plain text. It’s a little harder for me, but I hope you
will like it at least as well. I don’t have much of a
choice. But I’d still like to know if this format doesn’t
work for you. It it doesn’t look right, let me know what
e-mail program and Internet Service Provider (ISP) you use.

you send me an e-mail, don’t just “reply” to this newsletter.
When you do that, I have to erase this whole newsletter to reply

BOOK REWRITE
The other changes? Well, I rewrote and updated my book. I
had been planning to do it, but the catylyst was that a friend
and colleague offered me a deal I couldn’t refuse. She is the
owner of Green Supreme, Inc., who many of you have come to know
because you use her Barley Power product. Her name is Florence
Biros. Her offer was to republish my book so she could sell it
through a TV infomercial she is making with Bob Davis (another
name that will be familiar to many of you), an 83-year old cancer
survivor from Cleveland.
I have retitled the book “Cancer-Free,” with a sub-title “Your
Guide To Gentle, Non-toxic Healing.” I think it describes my
service better. As all of you who have read my book and news-
letters know, there is really no “cure” for cancer. We can get
and keep it under control so it is no longer a health issue but
we still “have” cancer cells every day as part of our normal cell
division process. So, the “Cure Your Cancer” title was a little
misleading, as was the “Your Guide To The Internet” subtitle.
The book is really more than a list of web sites. So, I changed
the title. I hope you like it better, as I do.
WEB SITE REBUILD
I completely rebuilt my web site from scratch. It was a chore
because I’m a long way from being comfortable with things like
HTML coding and web site building. Fortunately, I found a good
“template” product which takes at least some of the drudgery out
of the process. It is “up and running” with the new e-book for
sale there, similar to the old one. The new paperback will be
available by direct order from me for the time being. My other
“Cure Your Cancer” paperback and hard cover will still be there
for people who prefer to buy it using a credit card. It’s all

I have much more control now over what is on the web site. On
my previous “GetAndStayWell.com” web site, the “webmaster” was
in New Zealand. The geographic distance wasn’t the problem,
though. It was my gradual loss of the ability to edit it. The
final straw was when I told the webmaster by e-mail that I was
starting work on a new web site. He misunderstood me and “took
down” the old web site. When I discovered what he had done in
late September, he was able to restore part of it, but I have lost
the “newsletter archives” portion permanently, it seems. I had
printed copies of the newsletters and was able to incorporate
most of the information in them into my new version of the book.
But, as you can imagine, it’s a relief to have it under my control,
even if it is somewhat more difficult.
NEW APPROACH TO PHONE/E-MAIL “COACHING”
Finally, I have decided to change the way I offer my “coaching”
service. I have been answering phone calls (3 to 5 a day) to my
“800” number and e-mails (10 to 12 a day) from people seeking my
advice. I really enjoy doing this and have been able to help
hundreds of people. In fact, as many of you know, I often call
those I haven’t heard from in some time to check on their progress.
Now, however, that I have that experience I feel it is only fair to
me and my family to begin charging for access to my “coaching.” I’m
still just a “reporter” giving people help with information about
supplements, clinics, doctors, etc. I don’t give medical advice.
In this way, I can keep this newsletter subscription-free and avoid
taking ads in it, which I feel would cause you to doubt my sincerity
and freedom from bias.
I am selling the new book (e-book and paperback)with one “coaching
session” by either e-mail or phone included. For each additional
session, I will charge $50. Hopefully, this added income will allow
me to continue to pay my own way to workshops around the country which
I find very beneficial to those who attend. Usually, those of you who
want me to come and talk cannot afford to pay for my travel. For one
exception, see below.

It’s great to be back! And thanks to all of you who called or wrote
with concern about my health, an FDA “shutdown,” etc. I’m in great
health and nobody is threatening me in any way. But, believe me,

Workshop In Pennsylvania — November 6, 2004

On Saturday, November 6th, I will be presenting another workshop.
This one is hosted by Florence Biros of Green Supreme, Inc. (see
above). Florence is paying for my wife, Terry, and I to travel
to New Wilmington, Pennsylvania (about 60 miles north of Pitts
burgh). The workshop will be from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. I am being
joined by Bob Davis (see above), my cancer crusader buddy, who
will present his “testimony” about his recovery and a whole lot
more.

IPT Foundation — Rachel Best

Most of you have read one or more of the articles I’ve done in
past newsletters on Insulin Potentiation Therapy (IPT). I want
you to read Rachel Best’s story for two reasons. First, it is
an inspiring story of recovery from a serious cancer. But, even
more important is that Rachel, inspired by her own recovery, has
established a foundation to collect funds to support clinical
trials, help people who cannot afford the treatment, as she was
helped by friends and generally spread the word.
First, you need to read her story — that of a brave and resourceful
lady.
“Dear Bill,
I believe that I was gifted with a very late stage and serious
cancer which we diagnosed on 9/11/2001 so that I could experience
regular chemotherapy and then find IPT and then share it with the
world. After a long operation including a hysterectomy, omentectomy
and debulking of the metastases in the abdominal cavity I almost
died from a staph infection. They did pull me through and then
began chemotherapy with a highly toxic combination of Taxol and
-carboplatin which quickly reduced my immune system to almost non-
existent and we had to boost my white and red blood counts
artificially in between treatments so they could give me more chemo
in the hope that we could kill the cancer before the chemo killed me.
This is typical for many patients and many do die of the chemo rather
than the cancer. After 6 treatments, which is all they could give
me, the cancer was in fact declared in remission and stayed there for
18 months.
Unfortunately the chemotherapy had so depleted my system that it took
me over 7 months before I could be out of bed for more than 3 or 4
hours a day and another 5 months of serious detoxing to return to
some semblance of full quality of life.
At around the 18 month mark the indicators began showing that it might
be back again. After several consultations with my gynecological
oncologist I decided to wait it out in the hopes that I could get to
the 3 year mark before again getting treated. The doctor said that
if I could do that it would increase the chances that the treatment
would be effective. In any case he wanted to operate again, debulk
and again do chemotherapy, only this time with a different drug which
is less likely to ‘cure’ the cancer but is chosen to manage it.
In July it became clear to me that I would not be able to wait as I
was feeling worse and worse by the day and knew I had to do something.
A friend happened to mention something called IPT to me. She said
it was a method of administering chemotherapy which pinpoints micro-
doses to cancer cells, while leaving the healthy cells alone. I was
somewhat dubious about this possibility but kept on checking it out.
It did not take me long to determine that I could have this done and
it had been effective for others so it might be for me too. The
encouraging thing about it was that I could take 6 treatments and
then check the cancer markers and know if it is working. So, I decided
to be the guinea pig for those 6 weeks and blessedly it worked just as
they said it could. My tumor marker dropped from 216 to 102 and
continuing on with the treatment for another 4 weeks took it down to
37. All of this virtually without side effects. I fact I am doing
more than a full day’s work, rising at 5:30 – 6 AM and here I am
still working writing to you [at 9:30 PM]. I look and feel healthy
and happy. I am fully in my life and my mission.
This protocol is not supported by insurance companies for the most
part and so one has to pay for it up front out of pocket and maybe
get a small amount back some weeks later. I did not have the $20,000
it would take to complete this treatment and so I went to my community
who are raising the money for me to have it. Now that I found this I
am committed to doing what it takes to have this protocol be standard
first line chemotherapy protocol throughout the world. This should be
available through insurance to anyone who has any of the 21 cancers so
far successfully addressed this way.
To get this done I established a charitable foundation honoring my
late mother who died of breast cancer in 1980. I have attached a
summary of what the foundation is up to so you will be fully informed.

I responded to Rachel that while I was impressed with her story and
the work she has done to set up the foundation, I thought she should
know that the National Cancer Institute (NCI) has been “sitting” on a
study of IPT they assigned to one of their scientists in 2000. It has
yet to receive any NCI funding. If anyone should fund “clinical trials”
of this proven therapy, it is the government agency charged with that
responsibility, not a private foundation like Rachel’s.
I want to get the word out on the efficacy of IPT compared to normal
chemotherapy. Obviously, I’m willing to help Rachel and her Foundation
do that. It just disgusts me that, as usual, our government refuses to
study anything which threatens to reduce the income of Big Pharma or
the oncologists. I suggested to Rachel that she and her Foundation team
send the following questions to the NCI:
“1. Hasn’t your organization been given several briefings from
practitioners on the IPT procedure? [They have.]
2. Didn’t you assign a project to one of your scientists in
September, 2000 to study this procedure and perform clinical
trials? [They did.]
3. Has this assignment been funded yet? [I don’t believe so.]
4. If not, why not? [Why not, indeed? They’re using “our” money
to test “new,” actually “copy-cat” chemotherapy drugs for the
pharmaceutical companies.]”
Once those questions are answered, they will have a much better idea
of the direction their foundation needs to take.
